Aim
The purpose of this unit is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to demonstrate competent usage of Hypnoanalytical Techniques in a therapeutic environment.

Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate a basic theoretical understanding of the role of Hypnoanalytical Techniques.
Describe the range of Hypnoanalytical Techniques
Explain and demonstrate the preparatory procedures for each hypnoanalytical technique.
Demonstrate a hypnoanalytical technique in a role play situation.

Aim
The purpose of this module is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to demonstrate competent use of specific Neuro-Linguistic Programming techniques.

Learning Outcomes
By the conclusion of this course the student should be able to:

Demonstrate and explain the principles universal to all psychological therapies.
Describe the range of adjunctive therapeutic techniques can be used in association with clinical hypnotherapy, including specific techniques from Neuro-Linguistic Programming

Aim
The purpose of this module is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to demonstrate competent therapeutic techniques in a simulated clinical situation.

Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate the use of susceptibility, induction, deepening, suggestion, awakening techniques

Demonstrate the use of hypnoanalytical techniques e.g. Progression, Regression, Automatic Writing, Ideomotor Questioning, Dream Therapy Techniques in analytical and resolution modes

Demonstrate the use of techniques from other psychotherapeutic models
e.g. NLP, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Client Centred Therapy and Counselling

Provide and receive open and evaluative feedback

Identify the indications and contraindications of treatment

Demonstrate accurate self reflection, self assessment and self evaluation.

Aim

To provide the additional opportunity to apply the integrated skills and knowledge being gained from modules in the Certificate IV course, in a practical simulated situation.This module provides students with a combination of resources unavailable elsewhere.These resources are: a place to practice, a specified practice time, people to practice with, a safe environment to practice, access to assistance if required, feedback & mentoring at the end of each session and the opportunity for practical demonstration of a technique(s) by the mentor.
