Leon has been a practicing Clinical Hypnotherapist for 30 years.  In 1983 he founded the Academy of Applied Hypnosis and is currently used as a consultant by Professional Associations, Government Agencies and Industry Boards regarding Australian Clinical Hypnotherapists’ professional training standards.

 

Within his busy practice he consults with doctors, naturopaths and other health professionals.  He also is called upon to lecture at the University of New South Wales, Australian Catholic University, Macquarie University, University of Western Sydney, John Hunter Hospital, St Vincents Hospital, Sydney Hospital, Colleges of Advanced Education, Family Planning Centres, Nature Care College of Natural Therapies and the Australasian College of Natural Therapies.

 

Leon is a member of various professional associations and for many years was responsible for their advanced training.  In 1998 history was made when government accreditation was awarded for a Clinical Hypnotherapy training course designed and implemented by him.  Through the Academy, Leon is committed to continue establishing benchmarks of professional training and practice standards for Australian Clinical Hypnotherapists.

Leon is also responsible for implementation of the Hypnosis for Better Marks course which helps many HSC students to achieve their true potential in their exams.

 

More recently he has initiated new programs for the treatment of people living with HIV/AIDS.
